HANDY CROSS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 2026
The aim of the club championship is to increase club participation at races and make the club’s name more widely known at local races; and in turn entice new members into our running community.
We also hope that by choosing different distances that our members will try a race perhaps they would have dismissed previously as too long, too fast, too hard etc.
The club championship is open to all paid up members of the club and runs for the entire calendar year.
POINT SCORING
Points are scored solely for participating in local races and for marshalling at club events. One point will scored for any of the following:
- Any Thames Valley Cross Country (except HX)
- Summer 5K series (except HX)
- Wokingham ½ – February 22nd 2026
- Maidenhead 10 – April 3rd 2026
- Beaconsfield 5 – April 6th 2026
- Nettlebed Stinger 5k & 10K – April 26th 2026
- Ridge Off-Roader 1/2 – Date TBC 2026
- Penn 7 – June 6th 2026
- Misborne 5k & 10k June 20th 2026
- Ridgeway Relay – June 28th 2026
- Burnham Beeches ½ or 10K – August 9th 2026
- Bradenham Blast 10k – September 19th 2026
- Frieth Hilly 5k & 10k – October 11th 2026 (TBC)
- Marlow ½, 7 or Frankenstein – November 1st 2026
- Rugged Radnage – November 15th 2026
- Any marathon (1 only)
Plus, 1pt for marshalling the Marlow 5, HX summer 5K, HX TVXC (including extra point for helping on set up days) and extra 1pt for supplying an additional marshal (max 1 per event).
REWARD
Apart from bragging rights and a shiny trophy, there will be a prize given to the top male and female in the league on completion of the year.
ENTRY
