Exciting news (1) We will be opening entries for t Exciting news (1) We will be opening entries for the Marlow 5 sponsored by Recycled Business Furniture at 9am on Friday!!! Exciting news (2) In a bid to reduce the amount of waste that comes with organising a race, we are proud to have partnered with Rerun Clothing. Instead of producing more sacks full of t shirts as a souvenir of our race we will be printing our designs, front and back, onto shirts that have been donated to Rerun. The majority of these are unused shirts from races who have over-ordered. These would almost certainly have ended up in landfill. The fun part of this is that you will have no idea what colour or design your shirt will be! It could be from this years Manchester Marathon or from a local 5k race. All you’ll know is that you will be helping to keep over 1000 T-shirt’s from ending up on a landfill site. You will, however, still be able to choose the size of this unique item. Exciting news (3) We have also partnered with treesnottees.com so, if you feel you don’t want a T-shirt at all, we will donate the cost of the shirt for them to plant a tree in your honour. After the event you will receive a certificate with a picture of your freshly planted sapling AND the what3words location so you can see exactly where your tree is! We have many other measures to make our event as environmentally friendly as possible and can’t wait to welcome you to our race.

What a SCORCHER of a day, but a huge well done to What a SCORCHER of a day, but a huge well done to all those that completed the Hell-Fire Half and 10km today. You should all be incredibly proud of your achievements today. This event is put on for runners, by a very special group of runners, who can be found at @handycrossrunners. We loved cheering you on and thanks to all our lovely local villages who came out to support. RACE DAY IS HERE. Good luck to all the amazing ru RACE DAY IS HERE. Good luck to all the amazing runners taking on our course today. Don't worry about the pace, but enjoy the peace of being out in our beautiful Chilterns countryside today. Soak up the incredible West Wycombe Estate, with special access for us today as you run through. This is just one of the incredible sights seen on our route. Be sure to say a big thank you to the marshals, aid station helpers and Adams Park crew, as you meet them, as without them, the race couldn't run. We are also supporting Rennie Grove Hospice Care today, so any donations welcome. Feel free to tag @handycrossrunners on Instagram and check in at Hell-Fire Half and 10km on Facebook, so we can share in your achievements. Slop on the suncream, slip on a hat and stop for water when needed. Run safe and run strong! Team Handy Cross Runners.
🔥It is going to be a hot one tomorrow for the H 🔥It is going to be a hot one tomorrow for the Hell-Fire Half and 10km.🔥 We will be providing you with 5 water stops for the Half Marathon (approx 2-2.5 miles apart). The 10km will have 2 water stops at mile 2 and just after 4 miles. ALL runners will be provided with a collapsible cup to use at these stations, as part of our push to reduce plastic waste. Please hydrate well today and if you wish to bring further hydration or packs, this would be encouraged to ensure you all have a safe run in the sun. On the day entries still available, if you don't want to miss out on one hell of a run. 😉 *Remember COVID restrictions will still be in place, so we encourage you to keep your distance while in Adams Park, where possible.
Took a run through one of the final stretches on t Took a run through one of the final stretches on the Hell-Fire Half and 10k last night and this is the sight that came into view! In the distance is the famous Golden Ball on top of St Lawrence’s Church in West Wycombe, underneath which are the Hell-Fire Caves where all sorts of naughtiness occurred. By this time on your run you will be enjoying a mile or so of well earned (mostly) downhill through fields golden with wheat. You can’t beat the Chilterns on a sunny day and the forecast is for 🌞 🌞 🌞 You can still enter via our link in the bio or on the day.
